EXTRA! More of MY TOWN

Updated weekly.

Chapter 10

In Chapter 10, Woody and Chloe are back in their hometown of Danville, Kentucky at the Great American Brass Band Festival. Most people know that Danville is known as the City of Firsts, but do you know why? Go to Wikipedia and read all about Danville here.

Also, Danville earned the nickname Title Town for the successful football teams at Boyle County High School and Danville High School. The schools have a combined total of 19 State Championships.

Chapter 8

In Chapter 8, Woody is performing his magic show. He waves his magic wand and spoke his best magic words. In the first set of words, he says Walla-walla-bing-bang, Shoo-bop, Sha-wadda, wadda. What you may not know is this phrase is from the song We Go Together - which is a song from the musical Grease. You can watch the official video here. See if you hear the phrase Woody uses.

Chapter 9

In Chapter 9, Woody and Chloe drink Ale-8 soft drinks. Ale-8 is made in Winchester, KY. Did you know there is an Ale-8 cave in Winchester? Inside the cave you can purchase cases of Ale-8! Check out some more fun facts here.

The pups also enjoy a tasty funnel cake. Did you know people in Canada call funnel cakes Beaver Tails? We learned that fact - along with several others - when trying to research the record for the World's Largest Funnel Cake. You can find the answer here.
