Ron and Leigh Anne Florence
Known as Mom and Dad in the books, Ron and Leigh Anne Florence are best friends, business partners, and happily married for 25 years. They love dogs, traveling, music, sports, and the UK Wildcats! Leigh Anne, with a Master's in Music Education from Murray State University, enjoys playing the piano, reading, and spending time with family. Ron, with a degree in Industrial Arts from Western KY University, is an incredible woodworker and athlete.

Roper
Roper is a Chocolate Labrador Retriever. Although he started out smaller than Woody and Chloe, he kept growing and growing and growing... Now he weighs more than Mom! He is currently working on his AKC Good Canine Citizen certification as well as his Novice Trick Dog certification. He loves splashing water all over the floor, catching his Frisbee, jumping over hurdles, and playing Fetch. He will play 24 hours a day! Roper's dream is to play basketball for the University of Kentucky. You can check out his skills here. If his skills impress you, here's another clip of him training.

Woody
Woody, a black and tan miniature dachshund from Kentucky, is known for his lovable personality and knack for getting into pickles! He loves playing with Chloe, going for walks with Mom, and inspiring fellow Kentuckians. Woody is the third generation, following in the footsteps of the original Woody and Woody 2. His breeder was a student at one of our school assemblies in Hardinsburg Elementary School!

Archie
Dogwood Archer Irvine - better known as Archie - is the family's latest addition. Born April 23rd, 2026, this miniature black and tan dachshund comes from Cemcade Dachshunds in Irvine, KY and has quite the heritage. His dad is from Greece and his mom is from Ohio. His name pays homage to three specific elements:
- Dogwood - honoring all our black and tan doxie males
- Archer - honoring his Greek heritage since the greek gods are skilled in archery
- Irvine - honoring his Kentucky birthplace
Chloe
A red-headed miniature dachshund, best known as Woody's sister. While Chloe in the books is sensible and level-headed, Chloe at home can be the family's rebel rouser, always providing a good laugh. Like Woody, she is the 3rd generation Chloe, following the original Chloe and Chloe 2, who paved the way for her.

Tillie
You know the old saying, "Which one is not like the others?" Well, that describes Matilda, or Tillie for short. A black cat with gold eyes, Tillie spends most of her time outside in the field, hunkered down, hunting mice. When she does venture into the house to take a break from hunting, she runs as fast as she can to the basement to escape her canine siblings!
Fun Fact: Although her name is Tillie, we've always called her Scooter. Before you ask, no, there's no reason for that name.
